SEO takes some time. There’s no legitimate way around that. But SEO is also not a one-and-done activity. You can’t SEO a website and call it good. If you want to stay competitive, then SEO shouldn’t stop just because you’ve started seeing results. Every SERP is unique, even for search queries performed on the same search engine using the same keywords or search queries. This is because virtually all search engines customize the experience for their users by presenting results based on a wide range of factors beyond their search terms. While you want your sentences and paragraphs to be short, your overall content can be as long as you fancy – in-depth content is a big indicator of quality. Focus on your customers, and take the right logistical steps to make sure that search engines can find your content. Focus on the ‘road less traveled’ with long-tail opportunities, and you’ll be set.

Does your site have little or duplicate (plagiarized) content?

We use search engine optimization to monitor the queries that drive traffic to a page, to improve the quality of the content on the page to better match those queries, and to modify or expand content (where appropriate) to match overlooked queries. Anchor text gives search engines an indication about the content on the page that the link is leading to. Do not overstuff your anchor text with keywords and nor use very generic keywords. Choose your keywords wisely. Increasing your search visibility is a good thing, clearly, but it takes a lot of time and effort to accomplish those rising rankings, and there’s no guarantee how much extra traffic they’re going to send your way. Guest posts can still be valuable from a PR/community-building perspective, but only if we approach those guest blogging opportunities with the right intentions.

SEO + design = greatness

Use keywords in the URL of your page. Using a website URL that’s full of symbols and numbers will hurt your ranking since most people aren’t searching for numbers or symbols. You will receive more traffic by giving your site relevant keywords. Your website should be thematically oriented to specific keywords for optimal rankings. The website should fulfill the needs of your users. At the same time, it is also important for your web content to load quickly in order to guarantee user satisfaction. Authority is built by earning links, or what some refer to as votes, for your website and is one of the quickest ways to rank quickly in Google. This is accomplished by creating great content that provides so much value that other high-authority websites reference it. A site can never have enough content. There is always an opportunity to create new pieces of content, and the newness – or ‘freshness’ – of content is also one of Google’s ranking signals.

Add Content Expiry Headers

Do you sponsor any events? Ensure you get a link from their website to yours as part of the deal. If you own a website that’s been around for a while, you should already be ranking in Google for a few hundred keywords. Knowing what they are is a perfect way to kick-start your keyword research. The increasing dominance of visual content online has brought with it new opportunities for increasing a site’s search traffic by optimizing videos and images. Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull, had the following to say: "When you've selected your focus keyword, ensure it is found in your title tag, h1 tag, meta description, article text and make sure that relevant keywords are also be found throughout the content as well as h2 tags."

Promote for links, not penalties

Social media is another traffic acquisition avenue that can be pursued by website owners. Promoting to your social media following is great, but this type of traffic isn’t necessarily new traffic. SEO and SEM tactics are not disappearing any time soon, so why not use them to your advantage? There are a lot of people using search engines to look for what you have to offer, and in the area you are offering them in. Whenever possible, avoid changing URL structures. The easiest way to prevent broken redirects is to avoid creating the redirects in the first place. High-speed keyword research is keyword research that’s focused on quickly assessing which words are most viable to optimize website texts for. Without doing proper keyword research, your content SEO strategy could well be completely worthless.
