Google’s robots, or “spiders,” crawl the Internet by “clicking” one link after another after another. They discover new pages and websites as part of that crawl, and store the content of each of those pages in a giant database. Placing ads in front of potential customers has traditionally been one of the easiest ways to introduce your product to the world, but things have changed a lot over the years. While traditional advertisements still have their place, companies no longer have to rely on a chance encounter to get their products in front of their customers. It’s generally accepted that using copyright notices and legal disclaimers can be seen as a positive sign by Google as these will make your website look more professional and more like a ‘real business’. Description meta tags are important because Google might use them as snippets for your pages. Note that we say "might" because Google may choose to use a relevant section of your page's visible text if it does a good job of matching up with a user's query.

Aligning Questions to Keywords

Google will penalize spammy sites, and unfortunately this causes some bad behavior from bad actors. Say, for example, you wanted to take out a competitor. You could send a bunch of obviously spammy links to their site and get them penalized. This is called “negative SEO,” and is something that happens often in highly contested keywords. Google generally tries to pretend like it doesn’t happen. Web pages must contain a minimum number of words, feature targeted keywords and highlight local modifiers to ensure they appear prominently in relevant, organic search results. The best key phrases would automatically fall into place naturally, as you write the article. And that’s what Google is looking for. Personalization is one of the most talked about frontiers in search.

Does more traffic directly imply more revenue?

Duplicate content is your website’s worst enemy. Google is very serious about penalizing websites with duplicate content, descriptions or titles. Without discounting the value of links and traffic, content is most likely the key element of a website's charisma. Good content will lead to links and traffic. Links with longevity suggests that your site is an established voice for whatever topic it covers. Google has several bots: Googlebot (desktop), Googlebot (mobile), Googlebot Video, Googlebot Images, Googlebot News. For most websites, the Googlebots for desktop and mobile are the most important bots.

Education is the best legacy

You should ensure that the first paragraph or so of text on your web page is entirely relevant to what your site is about. Sometimes search engines take the first paragraph or first few sentences even of your website page and use that for their description of your web page. Also, in terms of the text on your web page it is often good to place limits on the length of how much text that you put on a web page. A suggested lower bound would be 300 words and an upper boundary of about 750 words. Google has been focused on semantic search and now uses something called Latent-Semantic Indexing (LSI) in its core Hummingbird engine. Mobile SEO should always be a work in progress because there are always new things to improve. Also, technologies arrive or get discarded. According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "Longer URLs tend to look a little more spammy within the search engine results page, and this is amplified if there are a lot of numbers and symbols within them."

The meta keywords tag is not a ranking consideration

Remember that your success in SEO is directly proportional to the amount of effort you exert. If you have the money, you can speed up your Link Building process significantly by purchasing links. This is done in a similar fashion as advertising. There are websites that build up their content, do their SEO and get their site to become popular. Once that happens, they offer to place your link in their site; for a price of course. Adding proof terms to your content helps a page appear at the top of search engine rankings, provided all other factors and criteria are met. Stay on top of relevant trends, create “how-to” blog posts, and frequently update older content to make sure you’re continuing to serve your audience with useful and timely information even after it’s initially published.
