Search engines aren't good at completing online forms (such as a login), and thus any content contained behind them may remain hidden. Google can’t depend on social media signals from platforms it doesn’t own and that are run by competitors like Facebook. Low-quality links can lead to a higher bounce rate and click-through rates, which can eventually degrade the ranking of your site on search engines. For me internal linking is one of the most undervalued aspects of SEO, with many sites having inefficient menus and/or poor site structures.
What have you tried that doesn’t work?
Google recommends quality content
You can think of importance as a way to determine which page, from a group of equally relevant pages, shows up first in the search results, which is second, and so forth. The relative authority of the site, and the trust the search engine has in it, are significant parts of this determination. Facebook and Twitter are two of the highest traffic referral sources for some sites, so be sure that you have profiles and are active regularly on both. People love to know about companies, so share company events, company awards, employee new hires, and most importantly, share information related to your industry that is not related to your company often. No one wants to talk to someone that consistently talks about their-self. If the competition in your niche is high, you’ll have a hard time ranking on competitive head terms. If you have little competition, you’ll even be able to rank for head terms. It sounds so very easy! Did you know Google uses around 200 ranking factors to rank websites? This may be a lot for SEOs to take in all at once. However, focusing on links is still best practice.
We've reached a tipping point
A simple site map page with links to all of the pages or the most important pages (if you have
hundreds or thousands) on your site can be useful. Creating an XML Sitemap file for your site helps
ensure that search engines discover the pages on your site. Some websites have suspiciously large number of external links. These are probably the websites which buy links in bulk. These websites are in some ways, spammy websites. Linking to such sites can result in a penalty by Google. Have you ever wondered why Google.com delivers different results for a user in the US than for a user in Germany? According to SEO Consultant, Gaz Hall: "By starting a blog — or taking an existing blog up a notch — you can increase your influence and establish stronger relationships with potential and current customers."
