Search engines no longer value pages filled with targeted keywords. Organic results are listings of web pages that appear as a result of the search engine’s algorithm and the content itself. SEO basically works by predicting and guessing how the Google algorithm works (because no one can be completely sure) and then using that information in order to engineer your website to get the maximum number of hits. It means gaming the system and this in turn can allow you to‘trick’ Google into believing that your site should be number one. Today, smartphone usage is so huge that more searches are done on smartphones than on computers. Making sure your website is mobile friendly is massively important.

Build local relationships with businesses

Good formatting can instantly improve your page’s readability. This, in turn, can improve your engagement rate. Trustworthy sites tend to link to other trusted sites, while spammy sites receive very few links from trusted sources. Link Exchange is another good way for building links. However, you need to be careful with this one. I am not asking to go around ‘asking people for links’. Just move subtly with it. One of the best ways to start earning links is by creating something of use or interest to your audience. We’ve all seen them – the pieces of content that educate or entertain us, without being the core product of a website.

The first indication should be structure

Search analytics is a new and emerging category of tools. Search analytics tools specifically monitor how your website interacts with the search engines. The true answer of whether social plays a role in search rankings may not always be written out in black and white. But you can leverage social to win at SEO. That part is crystal clear. If anyone guarantees you page 1 ranking on Google within a three-month timespan, run for the hills. Use Google’s Search Console for guidelines on Site Map creation. Once your Site Map has been created according to the Google guidelines, you should submit it to Google via Search Console. This helps Google know more about your web pages, and gives you more control over how your URLs appear in the search engine ranking pages.

Identify potential partners

Be aware of the keywords that people search (or would search) to find your business online. Be sure to use those keywords in posts and your social media bios to increase SEO. Dynamic serving takes a different approach. It uses server-side technology to serve a different version of your site to mobile users, depending on the way they access your site. The URL stays the same, but the files sent differ completely. Smart content improves the effectiveness and ROI of the material produced by making itself more discoverable and consumable. Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "Sometimes the best way to get links is not to ask for them. That doesn't mean you should sit back, do nothing and wait for links to appear. Spend time creating content and making your site as attractive and easy to link to as possible."

You must have a strong web foundation

Use search engine friendly permalinks. Try not to have too many ‘&’, ‘?’, ‘!’ etc characters in the URL. Sometimes it is unavoidable but try to keep it to a minimum. Make sure the article is easy to read, even to those who are new to the topic. Articles that are easy to read will result in less bounce rates and higher conversion rates. One of my firm beliefs is that Google is becoming more and more ‘human,’ and should be treated that way. This means that in all your SEO efforts, you should consider the use for us human visitors first, and then check if that aligns with any SEO recommendations. Make a list of the top 10 business directories and build an engaging, content-rich business profiles on each of them.
